Asurion Japan K.K. launches Japan's first smartphone cleaning service
Tokyo, Japan, July 19, 2023 — Asurion Japan K.K., which provides protection and technical support services for digital device users, is now offering a cleaning service for smartphones and smartwatches for the first time in Japan.* The service is provided through the “Bread and Espresso and Digital Detox Campaign,” and it will be available at no cost for a month starting July 23, 2023, at the Bread, Espresso and Machiawase in Shibuya Miyashita Park.
Due to inflation and the growing awareness of sustainability, consumers are using their smartphones and smartwatches for a longer period of time. According to the Consumer Trends Survey released by the Cabinet Office in March 2023, the average period of smartphone usage has extended every year, and the average period was 4.4 years in the March 2023 survey.
During the campaign, the café users can try the free cleaning service for their smartphones and smartwatches (value of 4,000 JPY) by answering a survey.
